School Consulting & Assessment
Supporting Schools for Better Student Outcomes
At Spectrum Behavioral Consulting, we are dedicated to helping schools create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all students. Our School Consultation and Assessment services provide schools with the expertise and support needed to implement effective behavior management strategies and address the unique needs of students with behavioral, social, and learning challenges.
Why Is This Important?
School Consultation and Assessment services are essential for creating a supportive and effective learning environment for all students, especially those with unique behavioral or learning needs. By providing personalized support, we ensure that each student receives the attention and strategies they need to thrive. This helps reduce disruptive behaviors and improves overall classroom engagement, allowing students to focus on their learning.
Our services also empower educators by equipping them with the tools and strategies necessary to manage their classrooms more effectively. Teachers often face challenges when it comes to addressing the needs of students with disabilities or behavioral difficulties, and our support ensures they are prepared to provide the best care for each child. Additionally, we assist schools in meeting legal requirements for students with disabilities, ensuring that they receive the accommodations and support they are entitled to under laws like IDEA.

ABA in Schools and RBT Supervision
Our goal is to promote inclusion and ensure students have access to the least restrictive environment. We collaborate with school teams to help your district build its capacity to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programming. From start to finish, we work with district stakeholders to create a strategic plan that incorporates trained behavior technicians into your school’s support system.
We approach this from a “school” perspective, recognizing the unique role of schools, instead of applying a “clinical” model. Our aim is to equip school staff with the skills and knowledge to independently continue implementing ABA strategies, reducing the need for long-term support from Spectrum Behavioral Consulting. Additionally, we provide RBT supervision to ensure behavior technicians are well-prepared and effective in their roles.
Functional Behavior Assessment and Behavior Intervention Plans
Our approach to Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) is designed to identify the root causes of challenging behaviors, as well as the environmental triggers and responses that maintain them. The FBA forms the foundation for developing effective BIPs. Our comprehensive FBA and BIP process includes:
Record Reviews, Interviews, and Questionnaires: We gather insights from teachers, families, and other relevant individuals to understand the full context of the behavior.
Direct Observation and Data Collection: We observe and collect data across different settings to identify patterns and triggers.
Identification of Triggers and Maintaining Consequences: We analyze the factors that contribute to the behavior and the responses that reinforce it.
Detailed Reports and Collaboration with School Teams: We provide clear reports and work closely with school teams to implement and monitor BIPs, ensuring consistent support across environments.

Transforming Classrooms with Evidence-Based ABA Support
